Kathmandu, April 21 : National Federation of Entrepreneurs Nepal has welcomed the government’s recent decision to break the syndicate system prevailing in the transport sector.
Issuing a press release today, Federation Chairperson Naresh Katuwal has drawn the government’s attention towards ending syndicates persisting in industry and customs as well, and not to be limited to only the transport enterprises.
“Economic liberalization has been in practice for over two decades. Our stance is that any forms of syndicate, curtailing and rotation in the country with free market economy would in no way be genuine and relevant”, reads the press release.

The Federation also calls for entire community to support the move of eliminating syndicate in different sectors while noting that it was an outcome of country’s political fluid in the past.
The Federation also urges the transport operators to immediately call off protest programme against government’s recent decision to dismantle syndicate.(RSS)
