Kathmandu, March 16: Nepal has been selected for six matches of the ICC One Day Cricket World Cup. After defeating UAE by 9 runs in the last match of League Two held at the University Stadium on Thursday, Nepal became the sixth out of six matches in the World Cup. Nepal won the ODI against UAE under the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League-2. According to the Duckworth-Lewis rule, Nepal won.

Kushal Bhurtel, Bhim Sarki, Arif Sekh and Gulshan Jha’s fifties helped Nepal reach the World Cup qualifiers. After winning the toss and batting first at the Trivi International Cricket Ground on Thursday, UAE lost 6 wickets in the scheduled 50 overs and set a target of 310 runs. With the end of 17 overs, Nepal has added 99 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Earlier, Nepal had completed the target of 286 runs given by Namibia in Kirtipur on February 14 in the League-2 match. Nepal won the match by losing 8 wickets.
