Mangalbare (Ilam), April 21 : The Sikkim United Club, India has entered the quarter final of the 4th International Mai Valley Gold Cup Football tournament underway in Ilam.
Sikkim United has secured its position in the final eight by edging Sankata Club with a margin of 1-0 in the match held at Thulo Tundikhel of Ilam today.


In a very competitive match, Sikkim United’s striker Sanjaya Chhetri had netted a goal at 31st minute that became decisive to secure position in the quarter.
Sankata’s goal keeper Urgen Pineso was announced the ‘Man of the Match’.
With this win, Sikkim is to take on Nepal Army’s divisional team, Tribhuvan Army Club, on April 25.(RSS)
