Mayor of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality attacked

Bhaktapur, April 21 : Mayor of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality Madan Sundar Shrestha has been assaulted by two persons at around 6:00 this evening.
Mayor Shrestha has sustained legs, hands and head injuries after the persons called him and attacked with the iron rods.

Two unidentified persons had called him when the mayor was entering into his house and was immediately attacked by the crooks, he shared. Mayor Shrestha is receiving treatment in Madhyapur Thimi Hospital.
After the attack, Mayor Shrestha managed to escape the incident by hiding in a nearby mobile phone shop.
Likewise, the attackers have also caused a complete damage on Mayor Shrestha’s vehicle Ba 8 cha 8720.
After the incident, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Thimi said that a search for the attackers is on.(RSS)
