Kathmandu, May 20. Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Gokarna Bista has thanked the International Labour Organisation (ILO) for its assistance in programmes launched by the government to bring changes in the lives of workers.

The minister expressed his gratitude to the ILO during his meeting with Tomoko Nishimoto, ILO’s Assistant Director-General and Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific on Monday. He also expressed the hope that the ILO would continue such support and cooperation in the days to come, while offering his wishes for the success of its 100th anniversary, according to the Ministry.


On the occasion, Nishimoto expressed her happiness that Nepal has initiated various social security programmes that would ensure rights of workers.
